Everybody says that the 944 turbo has the potential of being blindingly fast if modded. What are the best performance for the money mods I can add for a budget of around $1500? I hear that the 944 turbo has all this potential because it was a race car: so what was the difference between the race car and the street car in terms of engine mods? How can I put it in “race tune”?
how do you open the porsche 996 fuel door? where is the release located? my father can not figure out where the release is for the gas fuel door and therefore can not fill up the car. Can someone please give detailed insturctions of where the release for the fuel door is located and how you go about opening it? many thanks.
I want to replace the 944 Shifter boot on my car. Any hints. the center shift pattern diagram seems to move but I don’t want to break it. Is there a special tool required or something?

It was warming up and just cut-off. I,m pretty good at fixing cars but I,m stuck. I,ve replaced the fuel filter,pump,and fuel relay. I,ve checked the timing belts . All fuses and spark plugs. It turns over fine but just won’t fire up.
The engine temp starting to go up and when I got home there had been some significant water leak out of the car it smelled like coolant, so I filled the coolant and started the car there is a noise like the pump might be going out and it is leaking while I ran it in my my driveway for a few minutes.
